Honkarakenne Oyj engages in the manufacture of log frame wood houses, holiday homes and public buildings. Its buildings are made from Finnish solid wood under the Honka brand. The firm operates through the following geographical segments: Finland, Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and Global Markets. The Finland segment includes sales of billet and process by-products for recycling. The Russia and CIS segment consists of Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and other CIS countries excluding Ukraine. The Global Markets segment deals with all other business countries. The company was founded in 1958 and is headquartered in Karstula, Finland.
